What is your style/approach to therapy?

Modalities of practice include: Gestalt Therapy (Cognitive and Emotion-Based), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic approaches. I believe that there is a wealth of benefit found in all of these approaches, and they work nicely when incorporated within the treatment process.

What does a first session with you look like?

The first session is a “get to know you” session, as I listen to your story, what brings you to counseling, and learn about your goals for change. We will see if we are a good fit for this process. My goal for this session is to really listen and understand what brings you to therapy and how I can be of help to you during this time.
