What does a first session with you look like?
My goal is to make sure clients can achieve their goals in a safe and comfortable therapy environment without judgement. During our first session we will spent time getting to know each other and making sure I am a good fit for your therapy needs. My clients can expect to feel support while processing their feelings and will feel empowered that can make change in their lives.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I utilize a variety of therapy methods to help each client. I will work with you and explain the different therapy options to make sure you are comfortable with approach we take. I often use CBT, CPT, Solution focused, Motivation interviewing, and Person centered approaches. I utilize the WPATH standards to when working with clients who are transgender to address their mental needs and make sure they have access to and resources for their health care.
