What are your biggest strengths as a therapist?
I take pride in creating therapeutic relationships that are successful by helping you identify and hone in on your deepest passions and strengths. I am an active listener and engaged therapist, whose approach creates a space for vulnerability so that you feel empowered to begin your healing process. I will help you feel supported so you can live a fulfilling and joyous life. Together, we will create a tool box of coping skills so that you are well-equipped to overcome life’s challenges.
What does a first session with you look like?
During our first session together, we will explore what brought you to therapy. Over the following sessions, we will take the time to get to know each other and strengthen our rapport. We will explore your goals, strengths, needs, abilities and changes you'd like to make. At times, I will provide homework to further the therapeutic process in between our time together. I will frequently check in about what works for you and what does not work for you in therapy. I am also open to your insight and my goal is for you to get the most out of your therapeutic experience to foster growth and healing. Each week you will learn skills that you can apply to your personal and school/work life. You will feel validated in a safe space that will encourage you to be vulnerable with a clinician who "gets" you.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I enjoy working with clients 18+, from those adjusting to adulthood to adults in their 100s coming to terms with a terminal diagnosis. My treatment method is strengths-based, geared towards managing everyday stressors, as well as unexpected life challenges. For tools, I specialize in trauma-informed care and dialectical and cognitive behavioral interventions.

Work History
Are you experiencing a life transition, like navigating college, adjusting to parenthood or dealing with aging or significant medical changes? I specialize in supporting clients during times of transition to help them cope with the anxiety, depression and grief that often accompanies these changes. Together, we will create a safe space where you can focus on yourself. You will feel empowered through the transformative process of therapy, allowing you to adjust to whatever life transitions you are dealing with. In this space, you will grow with a practitioner who prides herself on being fully present, compassionate and empathetic. We will work together to build upon your strengths and resilience to overcome past wounds, present challenges and help you to love and fully accept yourself. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, I practice in Connecticut and Massachusetts. I have worked with young adults to adults of all ages. My clients are often struggling with family conflicts, anxiety, depression, being a college student, loss of independence, significant health changes, cancer diagnosis, adjustment issues, caregiver stress/burnout, life transitions, grief/loss, women’s issues, communication, setting healthy boundaries and relationships. As a mother of two young children, I understand how challenging it can be as a caregiver, to juggle it all. As a cancer survivor, I know how heavy and lonely unexpected life changes can feel. These experiences have only strengthened my therapeutic practice to better serve and connect with future clients, like you.
