What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

“I’m a people-person and I continuously strive to help others. Everyone deserves a happier life and I want to do what I can to provide you that support.” I am a person who chooses to be involved in giving support and listening to others. Whether it be family, friends, clients, and people within the community, I try to give people the opportunity to vent and express their thoughts and feelings. I grew up holding onto the value of an open-door policy. No matter who it is. Understanding that this a professional platform, I still want to do my best to give back and help others with that similar mentality. To show that someone is here for you and is willing to listen to what you have to say and truly understand what you are going through. Because you are important. You matter. I began pursuing work as a therapist in 2015 because I believe this is the best way for me to reach out and support people who need it the most. I knew working as a therapist was my true calling once I began working with those suffering from anxiety, depression, experiencing life transitions, and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I’ve learned that all human beings share this common thread—we all have our own challenges and difficulties, it is uniquely different for all of us. My hope is to support people towards restoring their wellness. Therapy doesn’t have to be tense. Let’s make it comfortable for you. Let’s work together and focus on you to achieve a happier and healthier life.
